Why One Big-Name Democrat Says Ted Cruz Is 'Absolutely Unfit to Be Running for Office

California Gov. Jerry Brown, a staunch liberal Democrat, said Sunday that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) isn't fit to run for office given his skeptical views on climate change.

Cruz reportedly will announce his candidacy for president on Monday.

During an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press," Brown went on a tear against Cruz and climate change skepticism, insisting that science proves it's real.

Which left Brown with one conclusion regarding Cruz as candidate: “That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of existing scientific data. It’s shocking, and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”
