Fan Publicly Mocks Famous Rapper While He's on Stage, Video Captures How Security Decided to Handle It

Woah.

One of rapper Lil Wayne’s security guards brutally punched a man in the face after he publicly mocked the star while he was performing on stage in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The fan in question apparently used his iPhone to display a “scrolling message to the stage,” TMZ reported, citing people who attended the show. The message first read, “Shut the f*** up and put on Weezy,” but was later changed to simply, “F*** Weezy.”

The display might have had something to do with the fact that Lil Wayne kept fans waiting until after 3 a.m. early Monday.

A New Times Broward-Palm Beach photographer seemingly snapped a photo of the rapper pointing out the troublemaker to his security detail. Watch how he handled the situation (WARNING: Strong language):

After assaulting the man, the security guard went back on stage. The victim was carried out of the club and it didn’t appear that 911 was called, according to the tabloid website.

No word on whether police are investigating the incident or if the man planned to press charges.
