According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, three elephants were aboard the truck and being transported from New Orleans to Dallas, Texas, for a circus.

The truck became stuck after the driver pulled over to the shoulder of the road.

Ultimately, a local wrecker service was called to the scene to help get the 2000 Kenworth 18-wheeler on its way.

Police said no citations were issued.
