'Big Bang Theory' Dethroned as Most Popular Network TV Show — Here's the Show That Took Its Place
March 30, 2015
"The Big Bang Theory" is no longer television's most popular show.
Joe Adalian of New York Mag's Vulture tweeted out the latest numbers Monday indicating the popular TV series had been overtaken by newcomer "Empire."
In the 18-49 demo, "Empire" scored a 6.9 while "The Big Bang Theory" claimed a 6.7.
However, as the A.V. Club noted, when faced up against cable the shows both are soundly defeated by AMC's "Walking Dead."
