Football Great Was Sick of His Son's 'Hood Stuff' and He Let Him Know in a Very Public Way
April 03, 2015
"You're a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund..."
Famed football great Deion Sanders decided to have a little fun on Thursday morning, publicly poking fun at a tweet that his son sent about "hood doughnuts."
"Gotta get the hood doughnuts almost every morning," Deion Sanders Jr. tweeted. "If my doughnuts don't come in a plain white box, I don't want them!"
But the elder Sanders sought to remind his namesake that he comes from a fair bit of money and needs to "stop the hood stuff!"
"You're a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund stop the hood stuff! Lololol. Son. #Truth," the elder Sanders wrote.
It didn't take long to realize that the exchange was all in good fun, as Sanders Jr. wrote his dad back with, "lol I still love the hood's doughnuts."

After a Twitter user named Coltin Nied tweeted that the "stop the hood stuff" comment was the "ultimate roast," Sanders made it clear that he was only playing around with his son.
"Naw just having fun with my son like we always do," he wrote. "He was exposed to the best of both worlds and that's rare!"
