Watch This Baseball Play Closely So You Don’t Miss Trick So Sly It Fooled Both Player & Announcer

Pay close attention or you may miss the trick — just like the sports announcer did.

Columbus Clippers first baseman Jesus Aguilar was able to score an out by pulling of the old hidden-ball trick.

Clippers shortstop Francisco Lindor had successfully reached first base when he began to remove his shin guard. Not knowing Aguilar still had the baseball, he momentarily took his foot off base. Aguilar rushed to tag him and the shortstop was immediately called out by the first base umpire.

The play transpired so quickly, the broadcaster was left dumbfounded for a few moments. However, following the instant replay, he figured out what had happened.

"Ahh, the old hidden ball trick. The old hidden ball trick. Goodness gracious. We see the replay up here in the booth ... fooling everyone, broadcaster included," the announcer said.
