Ugly Sign of the Times': Attendee at WH Correspondents' Dinner Caught on Camera Apparently Texting During National Anthem
April 25, 2015
"Never excusable."
Michelle Obama stood with her hand over her heart.

President Barack Obama did likewise.

It seemed most everyone in attendance at the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night saw some wisdom in doing the hand-over-your-heart thing during the national anthem — at the very least folks seemed to be, you know, paying attention.
Except for one person.
As the camera panned the crowd, it caught a woman, head directly down and focused on her cellphone, apparently texting.

Angie Goff, a journalist for NBC Washington, had this to say:
Woman texting during National Anthem: Ugly sign of the times. Never excusable. #WHCD2015
