New York Mets Wear NYPD Caps, Hold Moment of Silence to Honor Slain Officer
May 05, 2015
"Honoring Officer Moore is important today."
The New York Mets honored slain NYPD officer Brian Moore, wearing NYPD hats during batting practice before Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
“Honoring Officer Moore is important today,” manager Terry Collins said, according to WNBC-TV. “We will wear these hats with pride.”
The team also lined up with several NYPD officers, remembering Moore with a moment of silence before the game was played.
Moore died Monday after being shot in the face while on duty over the weekend.
