The 'Loud Statement' Charles Krauthammer Says the Saudi King Just Made to the U.S.
May 11, 2015
"You don't have to be an expert. You have to be about 11 or older to understand what this statement is."
Conservative political analyst Charles Krauthammer said on Fox News Friday that the Saudi King just made a "loud statement" to the U.S. by declining to attend the upcoming summit of Persian Gulf states hosted by President Barack Obama.
"This isn't about geriatric travel problems," Krauthammer said. "This is a loud statement from the gulf states. You don't have to be an expert. You have to be about 11 or older to understand what this statement is."

King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud did call Obama Monday to apologize for not attending, according to the White House.
Krauthammer said his failure to attend was a jab at the president over the Iran nuclear agreement.
"This is a rejection of the agreement that the United States is about to embark in with Iran by the states who are going to be very badly affected by and strongly object to it," Krauthammer said.
