Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, an almost certain — yet still formally unannounced — candidate for president, seemed to have a slip of the tongue Wednesday when he referred to his candidacy.
“I’m running for president in 2016,” Bush said in a video posted by NBC News.
He then corrected himself with an almost seamless "if": “And the focus is going to be about how we, if I run, how do you create high sustained economic growth where more people have a chance to earn success."
Bush formed his Right to Rise PAC in January and said he was exploring "the possibility" of a presidential bid, though has not formally declared.
