... pushing the toddler for "an unusually long period of time," perhaps even overnight.
Maryland authorities found a mother pushing her dead 3-year-old son in a playground swing early Friday morning, WJLA-TV reported.
The call to police just before 7 a.m. indicated the woman had been pushing the toddler for "an unusually long period of time," perhaps even overnight, at Willis Memorial Park in La Plata, the station added.
The child showed no obvious signs of trauma, police said, adding that an autopsy is pending. The 24-year-old mother — who has no fixed address and wasn't identified by police — was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
