The Baby Might Be the Focus of Ex-CMT Reality Star's Photo, but What's on the Nightstand Has Her Defending Her Rights

"I will unload on somebody."

A former CMT reality show star made a statement in defense of her Second Amendment rights as it pertained to a photo of her infant son that also showed a firearm on the nightstand.

The photo posted to Facebook by former "Party Down South" star Taylor "Lil Bit" Wright showed her exhausted husband laying across the bed trying to comfort the 1-month-old infant in a bassinet.

#parentlife lol lol lol #goodmornin #fussygassybaby #waitinonapoop but on the bright side, Nash is starting to only wake up around 4am & 7/8am!!! #WAYbetterthanevery2hours #thankyajesus @_daltonelliott

"By God I will unload on somebody if they break in and try to hurt me or my family," Wright told TMZ, noting that the gun is in safety mode.

Though there don't appear to be any critical comments regarding the gun on the Facebook post — perhaps they were deleted — a couple of people came out in defense of the family on the topic.

"Its [sic] not like the baby can crawl or walk in order to get the gun," Susan Burris wrote.

"And as for everyone hating on her for the gun, I'm sure she'll move it when he can pull it off the nightstand," Kayla Sierra Davis added. "I'm proud of her for knowing how to protect her family."

Wright didn't mind associating her baby with her pro-Second Amendment views in pregnancy either.

ALWAYS "armed with Jesus and a gun" ✋

Update: This story has been updated to correct that "Party Down South" is a CMT show, not MTV, and to correct the spelling of Wright's last name.
