Ann Coulter Goes After Nikki Haley With Scathing Comment — But There's a Big Problem With Her Claim
June 23, 2015
Oops.
Controversial author and conservative pundit slammed South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on the Fox Business Channel Tuesday night for her position on the Confederate flag, claiming she is "an immigrant and does not understand America's history."
Problem?
Haley is not an immigrant, but was born in Bamberg, South Carolina. Her parents, however, were immigrants.
Coulter was not pressed by host Lisa "Kennedy" Montgomery over that particular claim, but the host did ask the conservative pundit if she thinks immigrants can't understand American history.
"Well, she doesn't!" Coulter responded.
Debate over the Confederate flag was ignited last week after a white gunman shot and killed nine individuals at a historically black church in Charleston. Haley has since called for it to be removed from flying over the state capital.
