Tranquilized Bear Photographed Falling From Tree — but It's Old Hat at This Colorado College

A 2-year-old bear climbed a tree on the campus of the University of Colorado, Boulder, on Friday morning — apparently quite content, as it kicked back about 30 feet off the ground for about four hours, KMGH-TV reported.
Soon wildlife officials got nets and mats together at the base of the tree and then tranquilized the bear, which was caught on camera in mid-fall:

Video showed the bear's head apparently hitting one of the mats and the rest of its body hitting the ground. Rangers indicated the bear — which was taken from the campus for relocation — seemed to be alright.
