Suspicious Parents Set Up Hidden Camera and What They Discovered the Nanny Doing Had Them Calling Police

In a rare move, the court decided to name the nanny before an official indictment.

A nanny in Israel is under investigation after suspicious parents caught her on video appearing to abuse their twin baby daughters.

The parents say they set up the secret camera when they began to notice what appeared to be signs of abuse on at least one of the baby girls. Rachel Levy is accused of beating the girls around 30 times.

In the secret footage, Levy appears to hit and shake the young children and also pull on their arms.

The fact that the court decided to publicly name the nanny before an indictment is extremely rare, according to Jerusalem Online.

“A public trial and free expression prevail over the weak argument of due process protection and therefore I decided to accept the request of the parents to publish the graphic video," Judge Ziad Falah told the publication in a statement.

The parents of the girls encouraged the publication of the video and the nanny's name in order to encourage other parents who may experience similar situations with their children's caregivers to come forward to police.

Levy has been detained, and her detention was extended earlier this month as she's being investigated for child abuse and assaulting helpless people.
