Members of the New England Patriots were greeted with a sign calling them "cheaters" as they kicked off their 2015 training camp Thursday.
"Cheaters look up!" the sign said.
Twiter account @JetsFanMedia took credit for flying the provocative message over Gillette Stadium.
Jason Koeppel, one of the masterminds behind the stunt, spoke to a local newspaper.
“The time has come for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to start dealing with reality. Sports fans are not stupid. We have seen this act before from disgraced former superstar athletes. People like Lance Armstrong and Ryan Braun who challenged the system after they got caught red handed. Ben Johnson, Marion Jones, A-Rod, Roger Clemens - the list of people who lied after they got caught cheating is sadly endless,” he said.
The message immediately caught the eye of those on the ground, who tweeted pictures.
