Tim Tebow's Foundation Releases Inspirational Video on His 28th Birthday

Instead of focusing on himself for his 28th birthday, Tim Tebow and his foundation released an inspirational video celebrating the accomplishments of his charity.

The Tim Tebow Foundation, a charity organization the football star created "to show God’s love to children around the world" by giving, released the video on its Facebook page that has now been shared more than 900 times. In the 8-minute long video, ESPN's Tom Rinaldi details some of the accomplishments of the foundation that also celebrated its 5th anniversary.

Blake Herndon, a young child and three-time leukemia survivor, made an appearance in the video and said he wants to help make a difference in other people's lives as well, proving that Tebow's giving spirit is contagious.

"Take me out of it for a second," Herndon said. "Think about the other kids who just got diagnosed. I'm fine. I've already dealt with it. Think about the kids who just first got it."

Rinaldi detailed the foundation's work on opening a hospital in the Philippines that serves some of the most underserved people in the area as well as an outreach program, the W15H program for children and teens with life-threatening illnesses, an adoption aid initiative for families who adopt children with special needs, a nationwide prom for people with special needs and more.

"It is in the giving that goodness becomes real," Rinaldi says.

According to the foundation's website, its mission is "to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The Foundation utilizes the public platform that God has blessed Tim Tebow with to inspire and make a difference in peoples lives throughout the world."

"Being part of the Tim Tebow Foundation these past five years has been one of the greatest blessings of my life," Tebow told People Magazine. "I am so humbled by the way God has blessed this foundation through the support of so many."

Over the summer, Tebow has been training with the Philadelphia Eagles, continuing the pursuit of his "lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback."
