New Planned Parenthood Video 'Trailer' Released After Court Decision

The Center for Medical Progress released a two-minute "trailer" for another Planned Parenthood video after a California court lifted a temporary restraining order against the anti-abortion group, which had barred it from releasing more footage involving tissue supplier StemExpress.

“The First Amendment protects every American’s free speech, regardless of how damaging the truth is for scandal-ridden organizations like StemExpress and Planned Parenthood,” Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund President Chuck LiMandri, part of the legal team representing the Center for Medical Progress, said in a statement Friday evening. “Our client has the right to expose StemExpress’ role in the potentially illegal sale of aborted babies’ body parts. The court was correct in lifting this gag order, which only served to protect StemExpress’ gruesome business.”

The brief clip, released ahead of a longer video expected in the coming days, features StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer referring in undercover footage to "intact cases" from abortion procedures.

"Oh yeah, I mean if you had intact cases, which we’ve done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety," Dyer says.

“The American people deserve to know the truth about the hideous industry that buys and sells the hearts, lungs, heads, and livers of unborn babies,” Life Legal Defense Foundation Vice President of Legal Affairs Catherine Short said in a statement. “The Center for Medical Progress should not be silenced and StemExpress and Planned Parenthood should not be able to get off the hook when there is credible evidence that they have colluded in numerous illegal activities.”
