In a conference call, Moore, who is black, said that Walker policies are "tightening the noose, literally, around African Americans" in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.”
Moore made the comment during a conference call that coincided with Walker’s trip to South Carolina, an early primary state, but also known for being the first state to secede from the United States before the Civil War.
A Walker campaign spokesperson told Associated Press reporter Scott Bauer that Moore’s comments were "inflammatory & inappropriate."
