See the Scathing Note Donald Trump Penned to Former NBA Player Who Wrote Essay Critical of Him

"Dear Kareem..."

Presidential candidate Donald Trump responded to an essay critical of him Wednesday by penning a letter to the author — over a printed copy of the essay in question.

The piece, authored by former NBA player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and published in the Washington Post, was titled "This is the difference between Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders."

The always outspoken Trump let Abdul-Jabbar know how he felt about it, writing him a blistering note.

Here's the full text of the letter:

Dear Kareem,

Now I know why the press always treated you so badly — they couldn’t stand you. The fact is that you don’t have a clue about life and what has to be done to make America great again!

Best wishes,

Donald Trump

Abdul-Jabbar reacted in a post saying Trump's response was another example where he "attacks a journalist who disagrees with him, not by disputing the points made but by hurling schoolyard insults such as 'nobody likes you.”'"

"Look behind the nasty invective and you find an assault on the Constitution in the effort to silence the press through intimidation," he added.
