Presidential candidate Donald Trump focused his ire on a new media outlet Thursday evening, blasting Politico as "really dishonest" and "failing."
The real estate tycoon criticized the outlet in a set of two tweets.
.@politico, which is not read or respected by many, may be the most dishonest of the media outlets--- and that is saying something.— Donald J. Trump (@Donald J. Trump) 1443130887.0
The failing @politico news outlet, which I hear is losing lots of money, is really dishonest!— Donald J. Trump (@Donald J. Trump) 1443130945.0
Politico, however, didn't take the criticism quietly — the news-outlet hit back with a tweet from its official account.
.@realdonaldtrump Is this the story you’re upset about? http://t.co/b572p4JWRe— POLITICO (@POLITICO) 1443135098.0
Senior White House reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere also responded, seemingly referencing a meeting Fox News executives will hold with Trump next week.
When Donald Trump complains about POLITICO's coverage, it does not lead to a meeting with our top executive to discuss said complaints— Edward-Isaac Dovere (@Edward-Isaac Dovere) 1443134296.0
