O'Reilly Has a Suggestion for DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz After Her 'Vicious' Attack on Rubio

"What is truly astounding is the woman's ignorance."

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly ripped into Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on his program Thursday, accusing her of being behind "the biggest smear so far in the presidential campaign" and suggesting she resign from her position immediately.

"In a vicious utterly false attack on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla), the head of the Democratic National Committee, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has reached a new low in political-attack discourse," O'Reilly said to begin his program.

O'Reilly was referring to an email Wasserman Schultz sent out this week about Rubio holding a fundraiser at the Texas home of real estate developer Harlan Crow. Crow has a large collection of historical artifacts that includes items from the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler. In her email, Wasserman Schultz highlighted the Nazi artifacts present at the home without context to attack Rubio.

"Wasserman Schultz used that historical collection to smear Rubio," O'Reilly said.

He contended that with the DNC chairwoman's logic, candidates would be unable to hold events at many prestigious museums.

"What is truly astounding is the woman's ignorance," he said.

"Her take is truly insane," O'Reilly added. "By attacking Rubio using the Holocaust, the head of the DNC has shamed herself and her party. She should immediately resign. There comes a point when politics gets so dirty, it corrupts the nation."
