Former President Bill Clinton turned the tables on Erin Burnett when the CNN host asked him about Hillary's low favorability numbers during an interview Tuesday.
"If I were sitting in your chair and you were sitting here and you wanted to run for office, and I had four to five months to make sure nothing but the opposition's negative claims on you were run, and I presumed your guilt with each question, and I beat up on you — you think I could run your favorables down?" Clinton asked Burnett.
"Yeah, yeah," she replied, nodding her head in agreement.

Burnett did not press Clinton with a follow-up.
Clinton added that he has "trust in the American people" because they are "innately fair."
