Video Shows How Group of Officers Handle Out-of-Control Woman Who Was 'Ranting and Cursing' for 20 Minutes at DMV

"Calm down ... let them do what they are gonna do."

An out-of-control woman who could not accept the fact that she brought the wrong paperwork to a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Pennsylvania wound up in handcuffs after a tense standoff with police.

Several of the people waiting at the DMV can be seen recording the confrontation.

Talk radio host Larry Mendte of 1450 WILM in Wilmington, Delaware, witnessed the entire confrontation on Saturday morning and recorded a portion of the interaction between the police and the angry woman.

Mendte told TheBlaze that the woman was upset with a DMV employee who would not allow her to change the name on her license without proper paperwork.

"She was ranting and cursing for about 20 minutes," Mendte said, adding, "She wouldn’t leave when asked and became more agitated throwing a paper she grabbed from over the counter and pulling away from PennDOT officials."

The DMV clerk called police to remove the woman. She would not leave the counter, confronting both of the officers separately.

The police officers then attempted to handcuff the woman. For several minutes, she is seen resisting the officers' efforts to restrain her.

At one point, a complete stranger attempted to coax the agitated woman to "calm down" and "let them do what they are gonna do."

The two officers are seen calmly holding the woman until six additional uniformed officers arrive. After seeing officers pointing tasers at her, the once unruly woman allowed herself to be handcuffed and led away.

My morning at the DMV on Ogontz Ave. This woman was out of control because she didn't bring the proper paperwork. Penndot officials finally called the cops and this is what happened. Police showed amazing restraint and did a nice job of containing what could have been an awful situation
