Ted Cruz Tosses Heckler Who Makes It on Stage at Gun Event — When a Second Emerges, the Candidate Loses Patience

“The Bernistas are out in force!”

During a campaign event at a gun range in New Hampshire Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) was interrupted by two hecklers.

“What made everyone so weird and sad that they had to come out here?” the heckler asked. “It’s just weird, why is everyone so excited about guns? They kill people.”

“Sir, who are you and what are you doing here?” Cruz replied. “Are you a bit confused?”

Cruz said that the heckler was “welcome” to be at the event but that he must be “very confused.” The heckler was escorted off of the stage, and Cruz, a Princeton and Harvard grad, joked that he must have attended Yale.

A second heckler also interrupted Cruz, who replied, “Son, thank you, this is not your stage.”

After the second heckler was escorted off the stage, Cruz said, “Boy, it’s almost like the Bernie Sanders guys are scared!”

“The Bernistas are out in force!” Cruz said.
