That Question Annoys Me': Bernie Sanders Reacts to Debate Question About Bill Clinton's 'Totally Disgraceful' Behavior

That Question Annoys Me': Bernie Sanders Reacts to Debate Question About Bill Clinton's 'Totally Disgraceful' Behavior

"His behavior was deplorable."

When Democratic debate moderator Andrea Mitchell asked Bernie Sanders if he regrets remarks in which he called Bill Clinton's behavior "totally disgraceful," the Democratic candidate made it clear that he didn't appreciate the question.

"That question annoys me. I cannot walk down the street — Secretary Clinton knows this — without being told how much I have to attack Secretary Clinton," Sanders said. "I have avoided doing that, trying to run an issue-oriented campaign."

Mitchell responded, "You didn't have to answer it that way," to which Sanders said that it would have made headlines had he declined to answer.

From there, he did address Mitchell's original question.

"Yes, his behavior was deplorable. Have I ever once said a word about that issue? No, I have not," Sanders continued. "I'm going to debate Secretary Clinton and Governor O'Malley on the issues facing the American people, not Bill Clinton's personal behavior."
