Bronx Man Charged With Murder in Seemingly Unprovoked Machete Attack

The NYPD arrested a man Sunday on charges of killing his next-door neighbor with a machete.

The NYPD arrested a man Sunday on charges of killing his next-door neighbor with a machete, WCBS-TV reported.

Police charged Angel Feliz, 26, with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officers were called to the Bronx apartment building Sunday afternoon where they found Carmen Torres-Gonzalez, 59, with “numerous lacerations to her body,” WCBS reported.

Police claimed Feliz came out of his apartment and attacked Torres-Gonzalez with a machete, which has been recovered.

According to a neighbor, by the time rescue crews arrived, it was too late. “There was nothing they could do,” the neighbor told WCBS. “She was dead … there was blood all over the place.”

The apparently unprovoked attack occurred in the hallway of their apartment building, police said.
