Instead of Complaining, Actor Chris Pratt Instead Posted This Message at 3:20 a.m. After Being ‘Up for Over 77 Hours’
January 28, 2016
"I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday."
Actor Chris Pratt posted a message on Instagram Wednesday — but it wasn't one that people might expect to come from a Hollywood celebrity.
"It's 3:20 a.m. I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday. I'm not good with math, especially after being up for approximately 61 hours but I think I've been up for over 77 hours," Pratt wrote in the 226-word post.
Pratt was in Atlanta working on two new movies, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" and "Passengers." He said that he would go back for more shoots just eight hours later.
"It doesn't feel like work. Even though it is. I'm having fun. I'm overcome with joy and gratitude," Pratt said.
But the actor didn't get to where he is without sacrifice. He said that he had the same passion 15 years ago, but little opportunity. Pratt went on to emphasize the importance of hustling and even, in his case, going hungry.
"I had to eat sardines and figure out how to get gas money," Pratt said. "And I never had a plan B. I never stopped believing."
He then issued this challenge to his 3.6 million followers: "Don't give up. Apply constant pressure for as long as it takes. It will break before you do. Go get it."
