Blaze Poll: Should Women Be Required to Register for the Draft?

While the U.S. military remains an all-volunteer force made up of men and women, only men are currently required to register for the Selective Service (the draft) when they turn 18.

Recent stories about the possibility of a change to the law to require women to sign up, too, have forced the Selective Service to post the following update the front page of the website.

FEMALES & REGISTRATION: While there has been talk recently about women in combat, there has been NO decision to require females to register with Selective Service, or be subject to a future military draft. Selective Service continues to register only men, ages 18 through 25.

Where do you stand on the issue of women being required to register for the draft when they turn 18 years old?

Take our Blaze poll on the topic.

We also asked some people on the street what they thought about mandating women sign up for the draft. Check out their opinions.
