Philadelphia Police Department Has a Message for Kanye West: 'We're Hiring
February 18, 2016
After Mark Zuckerberg failed to deliver, the Philadelphia Police Department had a message of their own for Kanye.
Everyone who owns a smartphone knows by now that controversial rapper Kanye West is $53 million in debt. On top of that, his new album, "The Life of Pablo" has been pirated more than a half-million times following its release less than a week ago.
I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart...
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 14, 2016
But after appeals to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg received no response, the Philadelphia Police Department had a message of their own for West: We’re hiring.
We R hiring,@kanyewest! Starting salary of $47,920; u could be debt-free by the year 3122! https://t.co/EHV6nhwuGY pic.twitter.com/TzSTK2zEGr

“U could be debt-free by the year 3122!” the post read.
The department even linked the tweet to their career page to ease the application process for the artist. Twitter users had overwhelmingly enthusiastic reactions to the suggestion:
Whomever handles the @PhillyPolice social media deserves a raise. https://t.co/V02yvMUCQu

The tweet, sent early Thursday morning, has yet to receive a reply from West.
