When Asked Why He Crashed Glenn Beck’s Nevada Caucus Speech, Donald Trump Provided This Blunt Answer
February 24, 2016
"No, I didn’t, but when I walked in I saw that [Beck] was in the podium..."
When Glenn Beck visited a caucus site in Nevada Tuesday to speak on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, he received an unexpected visitor.
Republican front-runner Donald Trump showed up in support of…himself.
Trump appeared on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" Wednesday morning after his third consecutive caucus victory, where he was asked by host Steve Doocy if he crashed the venue on purpose.
“No, I didn’t, but when I walked in I saw that [Beck] was in the podium, and there were thousands of people in the room, not too many listening to him,” Trump said, adding, “He’s not a very good guy to listen to, frankly. He’s boring.”
Trump went on to say that as soon as he walked in, “the place went crazy” and crowds flocked to meet him, leaving Beck behind.
“They all ran away from him ... and he was standing up there talking to nobody, and he steamed out of the room," Trump said. “And I didn’t do it on purpose, but I happened to be there, and ... I bet 90 percent on the people in that particular area were with us.”
