Singer Lady Gaga received a standing ovation and made Hollywood shed tears at the Oscars on Sunday night with her powerful performance of “Til It Happens to You” from the documentary “The Hunting Ground.”
Gaga was introduced by Vice President Joe Biden, who discussed the White House’s “It’s On Us” campaign to fight sexual assault.
Gaga was joined on stage by survivors of sexual assault — a visual statement that, when combined with Gaga’s inspired performance, blew viewers away.
