Stacey Dash Reads 'Mean Tweets' She Received After Her Shocking Oscars Appearance: 'You Sucked...Like You Do on Fox News

"It has nothing to do with race."

Actress and Fox News personality Stacey Dash decided to release a video of her reading the "mean tweets" that she received directly following her shocking appearance on the Oscar stage on Sunday night — a collection of angry attacks that she said "wasn't pretty."

"I just walked off stage from the Oscars where I got no applause, no boos, nothing. People were I think awe struck, which was a little disappointing," Dash said in the video. "I stand in my position that I do and Chris asked me to do it and I love him and I support him."

The actress quipped that she would be the perfect head of diversity at the Oscars, before diving into some of the nasty Twitter messages that she received directly following her brief moment on stage.

After I got off the stage last night at the #Oscars, I thought I'd let you have a peak into my Twitter feed.

"I was hoping there was a trap door on stage and [Stacey Dash] would fall through," Twitter user @ink_kid_smash wrote.

Another user named @gurulec added, "You sucked on the Oscars like you do on Fox News. Pointless."

And yet another wrote, "I'm sick of your s**t."

Dash concluded the video by explaining why she is so vocal and why she decided to appear at the Academy Awards.

"I do what I do because I want to do it and because I believe in it. And it has nothing to do with race and I wish you would stop saying that," she said. "Everything I do is because I believe in it and I believe we are all equal. I don't feel inferior nor do I feel superior."

Dash concluded, "You should stop feeling that way too."

As TheBlaze previously reported, the conservative actress has taken aim at Black History Month, and has dismissed claims that the Oscars isn't diverse enough.

The tweets were sparked by a moment during which Oscars host Chris Rock brought Dash to the stage on Sunday night, joking that she was the new director of the "Oscars' Minority Outreach Program." Dash jokingly said, “I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy Black History Month!” before exiting the stage.
