This Was the Moment Wolf Blitzer Briefly Lost Control of the CNN Democratic Debate
April 14, 2016
"If you’re both screaming at each other, the viewers wont be able to hear either of you."
CNN debate moderator Wolf Blitzer briefly lost control of Thursday night's Democratic debate when Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders engaged in a heated argument over the minimum wage.
Clinton said she would sign legislation to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, a position that came as a surprise to Sanders who characterized it as a shift in her views.
The debate got tense and resulted in both candidates talking over each other.
"If you’re both screaming at each other, the viewers wont be able to hear either of you," Blitzer told Clinton and Sanders as he attempted to regain control.
