Joey Rickard Hits Line Drive So Hard It Actually Goes Through Third Baseman's Glove

"That's called the exploding ball trick right there."

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Joey Rickard hit a line drive so hard Thursday, the ball tore through the glove of Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson's glove.

The play, which was ruled an infield single, occurred at the bottom of the first inning.

"That's called the exploding ball trick right there. Right through the glove," one of the sportscasters commented.

The Orioles ultimately won the game, defeating the Blue Jays 3-2.
