“It's so difficult to reconcile to the tragic, violent end to such simple, gentle souls."
A chilling note was found next to the bodies of a murdered California couple, according to KGO-TV.
The bodies of Golam and Shamima Rabbi were found in their San Jose home Sunday by some of their friends who came to check on them after they hadn’t heard from the couple in several days.
KGO reports that a note was left next to the victims’ bodies that read: “Sorry my first kill was clumsy.”
"We are surprised that they are no longer with us and especially going away in such a manner is something we just can't come to grips with," Faisal Yazadi, a member of the couple’s mosque, told KGO.
“It's so difficult to reconcile to the tragic, violent end to such simple, gentle souls," Hasan Rahim, another member of the mosque, added.
The couple is survived by two sons, 17 and 21, who were reportedly not at home during the murders.
According to KGO, anyone with information about the murders “is urged to call the San Jose Police Department at (408) 277-5283.”
