Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump wished his nearly 8 million Twitter followers a happy Cinco de Mayo on Thursday, posting a picture of himself eating a taco bowl for lunch.
"Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!" Trump tweeted.
As to be expected, many people took issue with Trump's tweet, particularly the fact that he included the line, "I love Hispanics" in a tweet that included a picture of him eating from a taco bowl.
While Trump was obviously attempting to appeal to Hispanic voters, he may want to try a little harder in the future, considering the fact that, according to Gallup, only 12 percent of Hispanics approve of Trump while a whopping 77 percent disapprove.
Also, apparently the taco shaped meals aren't offered at the Trump Tower Grill, but can instead be found in the Trump cafe, according to Buzzfeed reporter Andrew Kaczynski.
Happy Thursday (and Cinco de Mayo), folks.
