Longtime Hillary Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal refused to say if he’s been interviewed by the FBI as part of the investigation into the former secretary of state’s private email scandal.
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews began the Monday interview with the question, “I guess the first question is have you been interviewed by the FBI for those email investigation by the FBI?”
Blumenthal ignored the question, instead expressing his desire for the email investigation to be “resolved” and the Department of Justice to release its final report on the matter.
“But Sid, have you been interviewed by the FBI yet on this matter?” Matthews asked again.
“I really don’t want to talk about an ongoing inquiry right now,” Blumenthal replied.
“You can’t say whether you’ve been interviewed or not?” Matthews shot back.
Blumenthal said he wants to “wait and see at the end and see what happens to everybody involved in it and see what the resolution is” before commenting.
