Critic Blasts Mike Rowe for Not Telling Little Boy the ‘Truth’ About Orlando Attack — Read His Perfect Response

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me..."

Actor and reality TV star Mike Rowe gave the perfect response after he was confronted by a Facebook user for not telling a 10-year-old boy "the truth" about the Orlando attack.

In a Facebook post Sunday, Rowe explained that he learned of the mass shooting terror attack while he was on a plane traveling to his hometown of Baltimore. Rowe said a young boy, "maybe ten years old" asked him about the shooting, thinking Rowe had all of the answers because he'd seen him on TV.

"All I could think to tell him was the same thing I always recall on days like this one. It’s a quote from Mr. Rogers," Rowe said. "'When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping,"'" Rowe added.

While many social media users applauded Rowe for his response, one user blasted the "Dirty Jobs" star.

"I'm confused, Mike. Why would you not tell this little boy the truth? Islam is a terror group that was given safe haven in our country by the current administration. They are here to kill you' why would you not tell him that. IT'S THE TRUTH. I thought it took a village to raise a child?" one user commented, IJ Review reported.

Rowe then offered an absolutely perfect response to the apparently angry commenter.

"Because he's ten...And he's on a plane for the first time. And because I'm not his dad," Rowe replied.
