Speaker of the House Paul Ryan appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday. During his interview with Chuck Todd, the two discussed something they share in common: They both lost their fathers during their teen years.
Todd shared that he had hard time with Father's Day until his daughter was born. He then asked Speaker Ryan how he handles the holiday.

"Yeah, I ignored it for much of my life," Ryan said. "I, actually in a weird way, always didn't know what date it was."
Ryan explained that, like Todd, he pushed the date out of his mind until he had kids of his own.
"It's just how we process these things I guess," Ryan said.
When asked what he has planned for Father's Day this year, Ryan said, "Paintball."
