British actor Daniel Radcliffe appeared on NBC’s “Late Night” with Seth Meyers Monday evening and shared a story about his first encounter with Manhattan businessman Donald Trump.
Radcliffe, now 26, told Meyers that he was 11 when met the man who would one day become the likely Republican nominee. The encounter happened just before the "Harry Potter" star was to appear on NBC's "Today," which was the young actor's first live television interview.

“It was my first time in New York,” Radcliffe recalled. “I had some concept of who he was, but not really.”
When Trump, who had just appeared on “Today” himself, asked the young actor how he was doing, Radcliffe shared that he was nervous. That’s when the real estate mogul and future presidential candidate imparted these these words of wisdom: “You just tell them you met Mr. Trump!”
“I can’t even relate to that level of confidence,” Radcliffe, who is starring in the new off-Broadway play “Privacy,” told Meyers.
