Cops Rescue Suspected Robber From Burning Car

"Give me your hand."

New bodycam video shows an officer rescuing a suspected robber from a burning vehicle along a Texas highway.

The footage, which the Fort Worth Police Department released Thursday, comes from an incident earlier this month in which police were chasing a car that matched the description of a vehicle used by three individuals suspected of robbing a homeowner at gunpoint, KXAS-TV reported.

The police chase reportedly reached speeds of up to 100 mph at times and ended when the driver of the car crashed, leading to the vehicle catching fire.

Police video shows an officer running up to the car with at least one passenger still inside.

"Give me your hand," the rescuing officer is heard telling the passenger, who appeared to be unconscious. But the man trapped in the car later regained consciousness, and the officer was able to pull him out of the burning vehicle through the window. Police then got the man to a safe location before taking him into custody.

Meanwhile, the same officer who rescued the passenger seemed to be giving another cop instructions on where another suspect might have gone.

The other two suspects were captured a short time later and taken into police custody, according to KXAS-TV.
