Las Vegas Man Sets Up 'Special' Delivery to Teach Package Thief a Lesson

"I'm like, 'I should just box this up and see if someone wants to steal it.'"

A Las Vegas man was getting tired of having packages stolen from his front doorstep. He tried setting up a sign telling deliverers not to leave anything outside, but when that didn't work, he decided to get creative.

Victor "The Snakemannn" told KVVU-TV that he's had four packages stolen from his current address in the past two years. He eventually decided to set up home surveillance, and on Monday, he discovered a female suspect snooping around his place in search of new arrivals.

"I'm sitting here watching her, and I'm thinking I could go out and scare the crap out of her, but nahhh," Victor told the local station.

He had an even better plan in place. Before the woman arrived that morning, Victor had already set out a package filled with something he was sure no one would want, even if it were free for the taking.

"I had a pile of dog poop in my backyard one day, and I'm like, 'I should just box this up and see if someone wants to steal it.' So I guess she wanted my poop more than I did," he said.

That's a pretty nasty trick to pull on someone, but Victor assured KVVU that he let the woman off easy.

"It's a federal offense to steal mail off of a doorstep," he explained.

After catching the package thief in the act, Victor posted the surveillance footage, complete with commentary, on his personal YouTube page. The video offers a clear image of the suspect. It's safe to say she won't be back anytime soon.
