Dash Cam Captures CA Road Rage Suspect Shooting at Family SUV

The suspect fired at least two rounds, hitting the tires of the family's vehicle.

Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting at a family's vehicle. The violent scene unfolded Monday and was caught on tape by a police dash cam in Santa Clarita, California.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station later posted the video on Facebook, along with a description of the incident. In the video, the driver of a dark gray Honda Civic fires two shots at a white SUV containing a family of four.

The driver of the SUV said that she activated her windshield washer nozzles to wash her windshield and shortly after, the suspect pulled alongside her vehicle and motioned for her to roll her window down. After she rolled her window down, the suspect yelled at her that she got his new car wet. She apologized and then rolled her window back up. The suspect brandished a handgun at the victims, then fired at least two rounds, hitting the tires of the victim’s vehicle.

Police described the suspect as a 20 to 30-year-old white male with a goatee.

SCV Sheriff's department released a second video Wednesday with clearer footage of the incident.
