Tomi Lahren Resents That the 'Kaepernick Effect' Is Taking Root: ‘It’s Sickening’
September 07, 2016
Tomi Lahren spent the previous week blitzing NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick for choosing disrespect toward the American flag and national anthem as a means for his protest against racial inequality.
And she’s not letting up.
After the “Kaepernick Effect” spread to other players in the league and to other sports over the last week, Lahren dedicated another “Final Thoughts” segment to fighting a protest she believes is misdirected and unnecessarily disrespects American sacrifices and freedoms — including the right to protest — more than it targets efforts around correcting inequalities.
“For those who don’t think I won't criticize soccer star Megan Rapinoe because she’s white, well, think again,” Lahren said Tuesday.
Rapinoe is also gay and used the opportunity to take a knee during the anthem to protest both gay and racial inequality, according to an interview with AmericanSoccerNow.com.
