Police Respond to Active Shooting at Alpine, Texas, High School

The school in southwestern Texas, which has about 300 students, was placed on lockdown.

Police officers responded today to an active shooter situation at Alpine High School in Texas, the Alpine Police Department confirmed.

The school in southwestern Texas, which has about 300 students, was placed on lockdown.

The Brewster County Sheriff's office reportedly told CNN that one person was shot and two potential shooters were "on the loose."

The Alpine Police Department told TheBlaze that additional information will be released on their Facebook page.
