Donald Trump says Army-Navy game isn't 'necessarily' the best football

President-elect Donald Trump likely surprised some viewers Saturday while attending the annual Army-Navy football game in Baltimore, Maryland.

The future commander-in-chief joined broadcasters Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the sports booth during the game, where he offered his thoughts on this year's matchup — in true Trump fashion.

"I just love the armed forces. Love the folks. The spirit is so incredible," Trump said, before the very candid comment.

"I mean, I don't know if it's necessarily the best football, but it's very good. But boy do they have spirit, more than anybody, it's beautiful," Trump added.

Trump was later asked how he feels about being the next commander-in-chief.

“It is humbling, it’s a great honor but it’s a great responsibility, and when you see these incredible people — we just want to be strong, and they want to be strong," Trump said.

The president-elect attended the football game along with his newly-appointed White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and senior adviser Stephen Bannon, the Hill reported.

Noting he was "neutral," Trump sat on the Navy side of the stadium for one half of the game and cheered from the Army side during the other half.
