CNN's Jim Sciutto spoke with Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday and asked Graham some pointed questions about President-elect Donald Trump's behavior on social media.

Sciutto brought up Trump's use of Twitter to voice his opinion about foreign policy, and questioned whether it would cause a problem for the U.S.

"Do you worry that Trump’s communication style, using Twitter, could lead to misunderstanding, potentially escalate conflicts over what sensitive issues involving nuclear weapons?" he asked. "How concerned are you about that being a platform for stating potential changes in U.S. security policy?"

Graham referenced Trump's remark that the United States needs to modernize their nuclear force, saying he agrees with Trump on that point.

He added, "I’ll be honest with you, I’m not so sure this is the best way to communicate. It’s up to him. He beat me, he’s President of the United States."

Trump has been under fire since last week when he tweeted his thoughts on the United States nuclear weapons program.

He said:

Some have argued that foreign policy should be much more nuanced and delicate, and others say it is dangerous to leave foreign relations open to being misinterpreted over social media.
