While Charlie Sheen is no fan of President-elect Donald Trump — even going so far as to make a rather tasteless wish that 2016 claim him as it has so many others — he apparently doesn't dismiss conservative principles outright, tweeting at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz that perhaps they could join forces in the 2020 election:
It would appear Cruz has miraculously maintained his sense of humor through a nasty campaign that saw both his father and his wife maligned, as well as his own conservative principles questioned. He responded to Sheen with a sharp wit and a nod to Sheen's own association to politics: his father's role as president of the United States on the wildly popular show "West Wing":
Bravo, Sen. Cruz, for continuing to find the humor in what has been a brutal election year for everyone.
