It's your turn': Grisly details emerge of illegal immigrant gang's alleged kidnapping, murder

Two illegal immigrant gang members in Texas have been charged in what local media outlets are describing as the "satanic" killing of one teenage girl and the brutal kidnapping two others.

Diego Hernandez-Rivera, 18, and Miguel Alvarez-Flores, 22, both from El Salvador, smiled and waved to television cameras in a Harris County courtroom in Houston just before their charges were read to them, KTRK-TV reported. The two were arrested Monday on charges of aggravated kidnapping and murder.

Court documents identified Alvarez-Flores as "Diabolical," the name of the local leader of the known international, El Salvadorian MS-13 gang. The two are behind bars, and their bond was set at $300,000 each, according to the Houston Chronicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on the two men, so that if they are released from jail, they will be detained by federal immigration authorities.

Police said the pair are responsible for the murder of an unidentified Texas teenager. According to the Associated Press, the teen was one of three female victims being held for days against their will at a Houston apartment. One victim who is still alive — a teenager — told police that she left school Feb. 2 to meet the two men at an apartment. But it was not clear why she went there.

The 15-year-old was held at the apartment for four days. On the fourth day, she was sexually assaulted by another man known as "Flaco," KTRK-TV reported.

The unidentified teenager was then taken to a second apartment, where she was held against her will another 14 days. The girl reportedly told police there were six MS-13 gang members living at the apartment. It was not clear whether any of the individuals living at the second apartment were arrested.

The Houston Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff's Department did not immediately respond Friday to a request for comment.

The girl said the men forced alcohol and drugs on her throughout the torturous two-week period, tattooing an image of the grim reaper from her knee to her ankle. Court documents revealed a satanic shrine was found at the apartment. According to KTRK, Alvarez-Flores started to light a cigarette as an offering to what he referred to as "the beast." But Alvarez-Flores stopped and said "the beast" wanted a soul instead.

A second teenager being held there, identified only as "Genesis," reportedly spoke out against the gang members. Court documents allege Alvarez-Flores then looked at Hernandez-Rivera and told him, "Prepare yourself. It's your turn."

The next morning, according to the teenager who survived the horrific capture, the teenager who spoke out was gone.

Alvarez-Flores and Hernandez-Rivera were arrested Monday. CBS News reported it was not clear what led authorities to the two men.

On Feb. 16, a 15-year-old's body was found along the side of a road in a remote area near Houston.  The deceased victim, who police still have not been able to identify, also suffered a gunshot wound to her chest.

Hernandez-Rivera told Harris County prosecutors that, before the alleged shooting, Alvarez-Flores took out a pistol, waved it in the air and told him it was "time to take action." Hernandez-Rivera allegedly took the firearm from Alvarez-Flores and shot the victim in the head.

As the men walked away from the alleged crime scene, Alvarez-Flores fired at close range a second shot into the victim's chest, KPRC-TV reported.
